What To Expect
The Megafactory Training Team is seeking a highly motivated individual to support training initiatives at our Megafactory, Houston, Texas location. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating new hire training for all Lathrop employees, as well as providing ongoing development opportunities for current team members. A strong background in production environments, paired with hands-on experience, is essential for success in this role. This position is hands-on and requires working directly on the production line in a manufacturing setting.

The successful candidate will demonstrate flexibility, confidence, and the ability to communicate effectively across various organizational levels (Associates, Technicians, Managers, Engineering, etc.) to meet training objectives and goals. You will be expected to both challenge and be challenged, fostering an environment of creativity and innovation.

This role will be based out of the Greater Houston Area (TX) however will be expected to train in California. Other travel may be required.

What You'll Do

Collaborate closely with the Tesla onboarding team to ensure a seamless transition into training, including scheduling, logistics, and communication. Maintain detailed tracking of new hires, manage certifications and station assignments, and lead a team of workstation trainers for each respective shop. Be prepared to work lineside throughout your shift with associates to proactively assess training progressEffectively allocate groups into appropriate training programs to prepare them for their roles. Continuously learn new process skills from engineering and shop process owners, staying up to date with the latest revisions in process operations. Provide cross-training to employees on the correct techniquesCommunicate proactively with students, stakeholders, and managers regarding planned and completed training, based on their needs. Work closely with production leaders to ensure training efforts align with business objectivesMaintain constant engagement with manufacturing, production leadership, technical writing, process engineering, and other departments to stay updated on the latest revisions of process operationsFacilitate live training sessions on the manufacturing floor for new hires, exiting employees, and any other required training sessionsEnsure the Learning Management System (LMS) is accurate and up to date, reflecting the latest course revisions. Maintain accurate Versatility Charts to properly track certification coverage across the factorySet clear expectations for new and existing hires in alignment with Tesla standards, ensuring they understand safety, quality, and efficiency requirements

What You'll Bring

Minimum of 2 years working in Tesla Production is a plus (Lead experience preferred)Strong verbal and written communication skillsStrong presenter with passion to facilitate large groupsProficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Demonstrates professionalism including communication, dress, and attitude while modelling the company's core values of integrity, collaboration, and getting it doneProven ability to be highly organized with a strong attention to detailBackground or understanding of adult learning principles and Learning Management System (LMS) is a plus
