Reporting directly to the Assistant Registrar, the Vault Attendant supports the College community by maintaining and securing physical student records in accordance with established retention and security protocols. This position serves as a subject matter expert for the electronic document management system and works closely with the Transcript and Enrollment Verification unit on matters related to archived records. A key responsibility of the Vault Attendant is to prioritize and coordinate the systematic scanning and digitization of records stored in the student records vault, thereby enhancing accessibility and preservation.
This position requires a high school diploma and work experience that is directly related to the area of employment. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the related work experience.
Knowledge of and ability to apply strong customer service principles and practices; familiarity with Microsoft office suite applications, especially Word and Excel; basic keyboarding skills; ability to work efffectively with others in a team environment; sound organizational and task/time management skills; sound judgement and decision making skills; strong alpha/numeric ordering and sorting skills; familiarity with varying records formats to include film, hardcopy, microfiche, digital and electronic media; and the ability to effectively handle highly confidential data are all expected. Specific knowledge of Ellucian's Colleague product is a plus. The position requires the ability to work independently within established parameters, as well as the ability to exercise discretion as appropriate. Fast-paced, diverse work environment. Limited lifting of materials and the ability to safely use a step ladder are required.
