Job Title: Pre-Litigation Paralegal
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Pre-Litigation Paralegal to join our client to support personal injury cases from intake through pre-litigation resolution. This direct-hire role, based onsite in Mount Laurel, NJ, focuses on gathering records, coordinating with clients and insurance carriers, and preparing cases for potential litigation. The paralegal will work closely with attorneys to ensure all documentation and evidence are collected, organized, and ready for filing if a case proceeds to court. This is a full-time opportunity for an experienced legal professional looking to make an impact in a client-focused, fast-paced environment.
Compensation:
$60,000 – $70,000 annually, based on experience, plus bonus eligibility
Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday, standard business hours (with one remote workday per week after 90 days)
Key Responsibilities of the Pre-Litigation Paralegal:
• Maintain regular communication with clients to obtain monthly treatment updates and keep them informed of case progress
• Gather and organize medical records, bills, and insurance documentation, including working with liability carriers and providers
• Conduct research and obtain supporting materials to prepare cases for litigation if they proceed to court
• Assist clients with identifying and supporting treatment needs and communicate with insurance representatives as required
• Draft correspondence, settlement demands, and other pre-litigation documents to support case development and resolution
• Manage case files, monitor deadlines, and ensure documentation is accurately maintained throughout the case lifecycle
Qualifications and Skills for the Pre-Litigation Paralegal:
• Previous experience in personal injury and/or pre-litigation required; litigation experience not necessary
• Strong client communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with FileVine or similar case management systems preferred
• Familiarity with medical terminology, insurance documentation, and personal injury procedures
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
• Detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work both independently and collaboratively
• Bilingual skills a plus
