Job Description

We are seeking an Optician to join our team! You will work alongside other medical professionals to provide exceptional care to our patients. BECC is a private, family owned optometry practice that has been in business for 70 years. We are seeking any individuals with an excellent work ethic and positive attitude to help continue to grow our business and care for our patients.

Responsibilities:

Assist Doctor with Patient care.
Run medical testing on state of the art optical testing equipment.
Help patients with frame & lens selection.
Enter all patient charges.
Place frame, lenses & contact lens orders for patients.
Submit insurance claims.
Check arriving prescription orders for accuracy.
Notify patients when their glasses/contact lenses are ready for pick-up.
Dispense glasses.
Perform walk-in adjustments and repairs.
Process frame returns.

Qualifications:

Experience in Optical Patient Care
Knowledge of Optical Terminology and Software
Ability to build rapport with patients
Excellent written and verbal skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work 2 late evening hours & Saturday hours

Compensation will be based on the individuals experience & qualifications for this position.
