**Job Title: Assembler - 1st Shift**
**Job Description**
This position is responsible for the production of high-quality medical devices, primarily in a clean room environment. Responsibilities include the formulation of polymers and spray coating formulations, production using microscopes, and operation of various equipment and machinery. Candidates should be comfortable standing all shift and working with chemicals, with a willingness to work overtime.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate machinery to produce medical devices to meet specifications.
+ Follow manufacturing instructions and accurately update job documentation for traceability.
+ Prepare and pack products for sterilization.
+ Inspect products using a microscope.
+ Ensure activities comply with GMPs.
+ Set up coating machines, coat, inspect, and fold balloon catheters.
+ Prepare excipient and spray coating formulations and test formulations.
+ Package sterile and non-sterile finished goods or semi-finished goods.
+ Identify supplies that need replenishment.
+ Build components needed for top-level work orders.
+ Complete cleaning activities as required.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in English (medium level).
+ Comfortable standing all shift.
+ Experience with microscope inspection preferred.
+ Willingness to work overtime.
+ Comfortable working with chemicals.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High School diploma or equivalent education.
+ 1+ year of experience in the medical device industry.
+ Familiarity with cleanroom/gowning and de-gowning processes.
+ Experience in medical device manufacturing, ideally with microscope usage.
+ Knowledge of pharmaceutical, aseptic, and formulation processes.

**Work Environment**
This role is primarily based in a clean room environment. The position involves standing for the entire shift and working with chemicals. Employees take two 30-minute breaks - one off the clock lunch break and one on the clock break. Overtime and weekend work may be required due to high demand.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irvine, California.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
