Guy's Quality Meats is a Full line Food Service Distributor & Retail Butcher Shop. The company has been in business for over 20 years. It is currently looking to hire a Meat Cutter/Butcher .

Requirements:

• Prior food handling experience.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately.
• Must have a Clean Criminal Record.
• Must have Great Customer Service.
• Able to Lift up to 80 lbs.
• Clean Appearance/Good Hygiene.
• Ability to follow directions.
• Good communication and listening skills.
• Attention to detail and organization.

Responsibilities:

• Operate meat department equipment such as band saw, meat grinder, meat blender, cuber, wrapper, scale, and slicer. 
• Assist customers, process verbal orders (including weighing and pricing), and deliver orders to the customer.
• Visually identify product and PLU code; manually enter into the scale for pricing.
• Handle various raw meat products to cut, prepare, wrap, price, and stock. 
• Utilize all trimmings, excess and useable portions of meat items
• Ensures that perishable merchandise is rotated in accordance with department policies and product code dates.
• Ensures regularly scheduled inspections of packaged products for freshness and visual appeal, pulling products for re-wrapping as required.
• Ensures that all signs and prices are maintained accurately and are correctly positioned over each respective product.
• Notes damage and piece count when applicable.
• Advises the purchasing department of shortages and overages.
• Stocks all goods in appropriate locations.
• Maintaining a clean work area.
• Assists in physical inventories.
• Maintain cleanliness, maintenance and sanitation.
• Responsible for maintaining effective practices and procedures, including FDA, USDA, and other governmental agencies.
• Assist with the loading and unloading of trucks when needed.
• Assist with customer service, warehouse operations, forklift operation, product handling, and sanitation.
• Responsible for ensuring that all temperature checks are recorded daily for the warehouse, freezers, trailers, and refrigerators.
• Other duties as assigned.
