Job Description:

As a Billing Specialist, you will support the organization’s revenue operations through accurate and timely insurance claims processing, A/R follow-up, and system transitions. This is an excellent opportunity to join a mission-based team as they re-structure their finance department into a full revenue cycle function under new leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform insurance billing and A/R follow-up, focusing on claim types such as Medicaid, self-pay, and commercial insurance.
• Analyze and resolve denials and discrepancies using EOBs and internal resources.
• Enter and maintain billing information in multiple systems, including Salesforce and transitioning platforms like Core Solutions.
• Support day-to-day operations with flexibility depending on individual skill set (e.g., handling calls if comfortable).
• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline billing processes as part of a broader revenue cycle transformation.
• Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in all billing-related documentation and follow-ups.

Qualifications:

• 1–2 years of experience in healthcare A/R follow-up or medical billing
• Strong understanding of EOBs (Explanation of Benefits)
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience with practice management systems preferred (training provided)
• Team-player mentality with a willingness to learn and adapt
• Background check and drug test required prior to start
