We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Health & Safety Specialist to join our team in Newton, NC. Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on safety practices and emergency procedures.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, compiling reports and recommending corrective actions.
  • Stay updated on local, state, and federal safety regulations and ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety and health awareness.
  • Assist in the preparation of safety documentation and reports for regulatory agencies.
  • Act as a resource for employees regarding health and safety concerns.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in health and safety roles, preferably in an industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Certification in health and safety (e.g., CSP, CIH) is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
