This position within the Data Practices and Analytics Division exists to lead and direct large and high priority educational program and policy data analysis, research, and evaluation at the Minnesota Department of Education. Duties will include: + Develop and apply evaluation instruments and complex statistical analysis methodologies to determine and communicate the progress of learners and the effectiveness of educational programs. + Design and implement research for multiple interconnected education programs, such as but not limited to, early childhood, special education, and school support initiatives. + Provide consultation and professional advice to educational personnel, institutions, organizations, and policymakers in the design, selection and development of state-wide educational programs through analytical reports, presentations, and engagement. **Minimum Qualifications** **Please ensure that your resume clearly describes your experience in the areas listed and indicate the beginning and ending month and year for each job held. Only applicants whose resumes clearly demonstrate fulfillment of each of these minimum qualifications will be considered for this position.** Five (5) years of professional experience in data management, data analysis and program evaluation A Doctorate degree may substitute for two (2) years of experience; A Master's degree may substitute for 18 months of experience; and a Bachelor's degree may substitute for one (1) year of experience. Experience must include: + Experience completing analyses using a programming code (e.g., R, SQL, SAS, STATA, Python) + Experience providing technical assistance, training or teaching about data analysis or using data for decision making **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience working with PK-12 data + Experience using qualitative analysis techniques + Experience completing program evaluations + Familiarity with Minnesota's accountability and school support system + Familiarity with early childhood special education programming and data + Experience using data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) **Additional Requirements** A job offer will be contingent upon successfully passing a background check.
