Responsibilities

  • Negotiate, conduct due diligence, secure financing, and close investments while developing and ensuring compliance with farming policies and procedures.
  • Analyze ROI, IRR, and financial statements, optimize investment strategies, manage stock portfolios and private equity, maximize returns, and ensure compliance with investment policies and procedures.
  • Optimize water management costs and oversee selection of pistachio and almond processors and wholesalers.
  • Lead and motivate staff, keep the CEO informed, and optimize reports, tasks, and policies for efficiency.
  • Develop and evaluate charitable projects, assess nonprofit effectiveness, and establish compliance policies for the Maximum Difference Foundation.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of job stability.
  • Expertise in pistachio and/or almond farming.
  • Experience in small businesses or family office environments.
  • 5–7 years as a COO or General Manager in the U.S.
  • Skilled in overseeing multiple departments and leading teams of 5–10 direct reports.
  • Strong background in investment analysis, evaluation, and IRR calculations.
  • In-depth understanding of financial statement analysis and accounting principles.
  • Proficient in office software, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Agriculture, or a related field.
  • Effective project management skills, including defining objectives, strategizing, and executing plans for optimal results.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Quick learner with excellent time management skills.
  • Expertise in farm acquisitions, particularly pistachio and almond farms.
  • Skilled in real estate acquisition and development.
  • Experienced in underwriting new investments.
  • Strong background in financial planning and budgeting.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficient in managing money managers, financial advisors, and stock portfolios.
  • Knowledgeable in private equity, private placements, alternative investments, and stocks.
  • Holds a Master’s degree or MBA.
