Job Summary
We are seeking friendly, knowledgeable, and customer-focused Budtenders to join our certified retail cannabis store in New York City. This role is responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience, educating customers on cannabis products, and ensuring compliant and accurate retail sales in a fast-paced store environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist customers with the selection and purchase of cannabis products in a retail setting
Provide accurate information on cannabis strains, products, usage, and effects in compliance with New York State regulations
Deliver excellent customer service with a friendly and professional demeanor
Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems and handle cash and electronic transactions accurately
Verify customer identification and ensure compliance with age and legal requirements
Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant sales floor
Follow all store policies, procedures, and state cannabis regulations
Support inventory management and restocking as needed
Required Skills & Qualifications
Prior retail or customer service experience preferred
Knowledge of cannabis products, strains, and consumption methods
Friendly, well-spoken, and professional communication skills
Comfortable engaging with customers in a retail environment
Ability to work evening and late-night shifts, including weekends
Must meet all New York State eligibility requirements for working in a licensed cannabis retail store
Work Schedule
Day Shift: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Evening Shift: 5:00 PM – 1:00 AM
