Located on a landmark corner of the West Village, a block away from the Hudson Promenade, Wallsé opened its doors in July 2000. From the name, to the food, to the décor, every detail of Kurt Gutenbrunner’s first NYC restaurant reflects and embodies his culinary history and vision. Wallsé’s harmony of elegance, simplicity and lightness won the restaurant two stars from the NYTimes only two months after opening and a coveted Michelin star in 2006.

The food and beverage program of Wallsé reflects Kurt’s passion for aesthetics, taste, quality, seasonality, as well as his knowledge of contemporary and classic culinary techniques. Modern and minimalistic, Wallsé delivers a new image of refined Austrian cuisine and mixology. Characterized not only by incredible food and impeccable service, Wallsé is also renowned for its extensive wine list and creative cocktails.

THE QUALIFICATIONS:

At least 2 years of similar experience.
Passion for hospitality and fine dining industry.
Commitment to excellence and success.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent customer service.
Hospitable and engaging personality and professional appearance.
Positive, intuitive/proactive, and collaborative team player.
Flexible schedule - availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
State and local health requirements for food handlers.
Spirit, wine, and beer knowledge.
Enthusiasm to learn and grow with the company.
Past experience and interest in Austrian and German cuisine is a plus.
Experience, preferably in NYC fine dining establishment.
