• Pay is $38 an hour
• Per Diem of $147.04 for days worked is offered if you are 75 miles away and have a power, water, or gas bill in your name. 
• Offering a sign on bonus up to $1,500 and PTO !!!

Job Description
A Welder is responsible for the joining together of different types of metal materials with a variety of welding processes; the most basic of which are, Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) also known as "stick welding” and Flux-Core Arc Welding (FCAW) also known as “wire welding.” The shipyard environment is an around the clock manufacturing setting. Production areas at times involve working at? different? heights, confined spaces, different weather conditions as well as multiple shifts 24 hours a day. As with most every position in the shipyard, a Welder may be required to work either day or night dependent upon the number of ships under construction at any one point in time. 

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum 3 Yrs. Welding experience in FCAW and SMAW 
• Must have the ability to pass a military specification welding assessment in the vertical (3G), horizontal (2G) and overhead (4G) positions.
